There was a reason US government was subsidizing it. That’s literally the only way US can stay competitive since private businesses don’t give a shit about investing in R&D. I would love to see continued breaking research from some dank non-sterile basement.

There are evacuations happening since yesterday, so far no deaths were reported.
It seems to be bad proofreading at fault. What they mean by that statement is that doctor prescription is not required in most online stores these days, and that’s their issue.
The article I posted doesn’t represent my personal view. My view I expressed in the comment above, which is that there not enough facts to make a determination before official report comes out. Media speculation =/ facts.
I know that waiting for an official report and not speculating is a foreign concept to anyone outside of aviation world, but not basing safety decisions on speculations but instead thorough investigating is why air travel is the safest travel mode.
<…> it is the original source and was submitted there by the author <…>
The same is true for the Truthout version. It was authorized by the author not just Mondoweiss.
That’s extremely premature to say. One-sided ATC recording doesn’t provide full picture of the situation. We should reserve the judgment until at least preliminary NTSB report.
That’s a common practice. Mondoweiss does the same.
Mondoweiss occasionally republishes articles from other sources, which is noted in the article on our site. You must contact the original publisher of the item for permission to republish.

I’m a little bit confused by what is your concern here. The Truthout directly links to the Mondoweiss in the byline and article is posted with permission with the goal of helping it spread. There isn’t original source per se as the content is identical.
It’s an opinion article by the same author Rifqa Hijazi, and it looks to be posted verbatim.
Elon Musk’s government-slashing crew, the “department of government efficiency”, has been given access to the federal payment system, exposing the sensitive personal data of millions of Americans as well as details of public contractors who compete directly with Musk’s own businesses, an influential US senator has confirmed.
Both the ROC and the PRC still officially (constitutionally) claim mainland China and the Taiwan Area as part of their respective territories.
Global bodies should stop excluding Taiwan for political reasons, President William Lai (賴清德) told Pope Francis in a letter, adding that he agrees war has no winners.
It’s complicated. But Taiwan doesn’t recognize itself as an independent country as they still maintain official position that they are Republic of China (ROC) with claim to all China’s territory.
They do that for also political reasons, so calling the rest of the world for doing the same is disingenuous if not manipulative.
