I’ve been looking into this new email service. It looks promising, yet the blog posted by Tutanota kind of worries me: https://tutanota.com/skiff-mail

Their servers are run in AWS? I really don’t want to have my unencrypted emails in the hands of Amazon. And it is also mentioned that they’re US based. I mean, Germany is also in the 14 eyes, but US is a much much more anti-privacy country.

    I use it for the fact they got free custom domain emails and that their ceo actually talked about the app on techlore forum + he made lot of progress just to be listed on privacy guides.

    I would stay on Tuta. Skiff’s UI is s3xy, but Tuta is better in the matters we are interested

    They wanted to make me pay because I was inactive for like 6 months. I wouldn’t even consider Tutanota as an option.

    Kinda old thread but at least now your emails are encrypted at rest. Same as with Proton or Tutanota. Not sure if that was different 3 months ago.
