Kim said he would no longer seek reconciliation and reunification with South Korea, noting the “persisting uncontrollable crisis situation”.

Buried in the article is the real shocker. This would be like China saying they no longer seek reconciliation and reunification with Taiwan or the US dropping their blockade of Cuba because of “the controlled end of the Cuban situation.”

china. china sittin on top of them is the huge elephant in the room no one really wants to mention whenever NK is brought up.

we cant do shit without china saying ‘ok’. or really, china saying ‘we’ll take care of it’ which they then never do.

My post comment said “NK has been impotently posturing for damn near a century why are we still entertaining them?” and it does not violate rule 1 despite what the admins say.

I disagree with your comment but I agree that it doesn’t break the rules. @mods let us have a discussion with people of different opinions.

In any case, it was the Western world and the US that has been posturing. They hold north Koreans under brutal suffocating sanctions. North Korea resisting this must not be condemned.

Because they have nuclear weapons. Imagine the disaster of the Vietnam war, but with a couple of USA cities obliterated by nuclear warheads.

North Korea was already leveled wall to wall with air strikes. That’s why they’re behaving this way, because the USA already demonstrated that they were willing and able to bomb the entire country until there were “no more targets” left to bomb and the Korean people needed to start living in caves to avoid the mass dropping of napalm.

What are you going to do? Catapult starving people south across the border as artillery? A GDP of $6USD, 19 million uneducated zombies, and no way out without giving up power forever to China or SK.
