    Microsoft and Apple have offices around the world though, so it doesn’t really make sense

      It does, Microsoft and Apple only have a few offices and are just run on some consumer PCs and some buisnesses.

      Linux on the other hand, literally runs everywhere, even on the Mars. Linux also is developed on too many locations and its on even more locations compiled and tweaked. Nothing competes that I guess.
