2025 feels like a completely different century than 2016. Whatever reasoning there was for the UK to do its own thing then, it’s obsoleted by the new realization that the biggest partner and ally of both the EU and the UK seems to have lost interest in both.

We’re in a different world now, red lines don’t matter. I voted for brexit (dodges rotten fruit lol). I’m not deliberately racist or xenophobic and love europe, I voted that way (with reservations) because I was worried about the close call with TTIP and I had been convinced that my country couldn’t move away from neo liberalism while in the EU.

Anyway, I’m now certain that we need to rejoin the EU ASAP, and I think we will rejoin. Aside from anything else, everything here has only gotten worse for the vast majority of people since we left the EU. All the lies about 350m per week for the NHS have been utterly exposed. Most people voted leave only because of racism, xenophobia and because of the campaign of lies. Hopefully there are more people who see our risk of being isolated in the world now than there are virulent racists, that’s basically what the debate comes down to.
