you don’t own the number, and when will it be just another killed or shuttered google service?
I got a number from numberbarn.com just for domain reg, because otherwise you get flooded with calls the moment you reg a domain.
I’ll pay the $6/month to not deal with it.
I did the $40 lifetime years ago, still works.
