Why would he kill chipmunks? I used to live somewhere where they were all over the place, but they only ever made annoying noises and taunted my dog. I never had one even try to come into my house.

If there’s a conflict and I get to choose whether or not the side I’m on has killbots, I’ll definitely choose killbots. Especially if the enemy has them.
Maybe it took the stairs.
They climb pretty well, because I’m 14 stories up.
My understanding is that if I release them outdoors here in the city, they’ll go right back into someone’s house. If I release them in the middle of nowhere, they’ll die. A friend of mine tried keeping a captured mouse in a cage, but although he took good care of it, it always appeared to be terrified and died after a few weeks.
I’m willing to put in effort to protect animals (I’ve been a vegetarian for 18 years) but I think that catch-and-release mousetraps would just move the ugly part out of my sight rather than avoiding it entirely.
I use the snap traps, although the last time I did that, I had to execute a few mortally wounded mice, which was not fun. So many mice were coming into my old house that I resorted to rat poison there (I don’t expect things to get that bad here) but glue traps are over the line for me.
I applied and they never responded. I failed the Turing test?
Half the time that I take one of my sockets off of its plastic peg, it ends up disappearing forever. (The same thing happens to drill bits.) If one day I do find it, that will be because I’m looking for a metric one and the one I find is imperial or vice versa.
My dad’s solution is to keep all his sockets loose in a bucket. He can’t lose track of a socket that he wasn’t keeping track of.
No, there’s also the good alternate Fediverse where I don’t have a goatee.
No, they’re Soviet pliers he bought in the 40’s. They look similar to these:
Note the pinchy parts on the outside of the pivot that will cut you if you’re careless while opening the pliers.
My pliers. They’re passed down from my great-grandfather. He bought them used.
It’s just hard to believe someone important intentionally did a Nazi salute (twice!) at Trump’s inauguration. I would really prefer to have it be stupidity rather than malice, but of course that’s not how the world works.
Edit: I looked up how Fox News is framing this story, and their focus is on the fact that “liberal media outlets” are accusing Musk of something outrageous, with the implication that he did nothing wrong. At least Fox does have good photographs of his salute for the people who learned something from Jeremiah 5:21.
Where is the grammatical mistake? It’s unusual to use the contraction “I’m” in a sentence like this rather than writing out “I am” but it’s not technically wrong.
They left out the first half of the quote.
Some of the things that you claim to be are, in fact, impossible!
No. Everything I am is possible.
The problem with violence is that the bad guys are usually better at violence.
That’s the neat part…
Are you near NYC?
It’s not an element. It’s a chemical that was used for stripping paint, but the government banned selling it to the public as a paint stripper just because people kept dying.
I’m a spiteful libertarian. I do not tolerate the government’s attempts to protect me from my own bad judgement. Therefore I legally bought a gallon of it from a chemical supply company. (Why did I think I would need a gallon?) I tried to make my own paint stripper from it but I couldn’t get it to form a gel. (How could I have known that randos on the internet could provide wrong directions?)
I haven’t gotten rid of it because it was expensive so now it just sits in my freezer. I’ll give it away for free to anyone who wants to come pick it up…
I got one as a gift a long time ago and never opened it. Maybe I should try it… Does it take longer or can you brush quickly with it when you’re in a hurry, the way that you can with a basic toothbrush?
