Lucky you. I’ve been letting calls from any number I don’t recognize go to voicemail for years and nothing ever seems to change.

I wonder if switching up the order more often would be a good way to remind everyone that every letter is a separate group of people
It’s a habit that’s easy to build if you’re used to windows. Windows really likes to let applications (including task manager) prevent you from shutting down. Especially on slower machines, it will often fake you out by giving you the “shutting down” screen without telling you about the application it’s going to fail to close until like 30 seconds after you hit the button, so you come back to a still-on machine.
The majority of people who actually voted did. Who knows what the rest really think, but at the very least they were fine with this.
We’re mega fucked.
I mean, they could disconnect it for you, but there’s still no way to know if it’s been transmitting data you don’t want it to in the meantime
There’s no way to know though…
I use flax meal in much the same way. Chia seeds have a knack for getting stuck in my teeth!
Oh, I just saw she links to cs.rin.ru last night while looking for solutions.
Also, wasn’t being serious anyway
On the one hand, oh no, not the fitgirl repacks!
On the other, I spent an hour last night failing to get my controller to work with her repack of Yakuza kiwami, so maybe it’s for the best…
Just curious, what were you trying to do? I recently got it and have been running it on two junky Ubuntu laptops with no issues
Who’s Deez?
I think most of them simply opt to not use the Internet as often
Yep. Two weeks ago I was thinking I’d wait through at least one more gen of CPUs and GPUs before upgrading–I’ve got a 6700XT which works great, but everything else is basically 2012-era tech. Now I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on replacing basically everything but the GPU as soon as tomorrow. If the country is going to implode I may as well have some extra pretty distractions.
About as often as they actually release anything
I wouldn’t get too excited. Supposedly the next headset is internally called Deckard, and it’s been “about to release” for like 3 years now? Pretty much everything people think they know about it is conjecture based off code Valve has tucked away in SteamVR; zero public statements of intent.
As for VR on Linux… kinda? I’ve only read terrible things about it online. I have an Index and tried to use it with Mint a few months back, and while it mostly worked without any configuration issues, there was a weird white ring around the edge of the screen that I couldn’t figure out.
They literally already tried and failed with the phoneification of windows when everyone shat on 8. I guess some ahole UI designer still works there and is bitter that people didn’t like their ideas.
Just 3 days ago I had to use the control panel to access the settings I needed to get my parents’ printer to work right. Even tried to use the regular settings menu for maybe 10 minutes before remembering how to access the settings I needed. Here’s hoping my parents never run into printer issues again (lol).
FUCK YOU, MICROSOFT!
Yeah this seems common. I had a friend who grew up with parents who alternated between English, Portuguese, Italian, and French, and he told me he wound up not being able to speak at all until he was over 2 years old. It didn’t affect him badly later on, and he always insisted it was worth it
Just as dumb? I’d argue they’re far dumber, that’s part of why they’re sociopaths who’ll do anything for a larger pile of money
It’s not specifically about learning French, but if you’re interested in browsing some French posts the most active instance is jlai.lu
