I’m just happy that there is finally some good NA beers. I realized I had a problem drinking where I would just want to keep drinking once I started but I had such a connection between beer and sports that it became hard to watch sports without wanting a beer which would then turn in to me wanting 12 beers. Just being able to have a good NA beer which tricked my mind into thinking I’m having a beer. My brain didn’t get the dosage of alcohol that I needed to keep drinking booze so I could just have 2 of them during an Orioles game and not worry about it. I’ve only had 8 total drinks since election night. Never more than 2 in a day but I’ve decided that I’m totally off booze since those 8 drinks.

I used to use it solely for sports news updates. Once Elon bought it, kept constantly getting politics news that I didn’t want. Kept adding blocked terms hoping to not see it anymore. Nope. Kept getting pushed right wing bullshit. Deleted and never looked back. It helps that people have actually moved to Bluesky. The biggest issue I have is with Reddit and Lemmy not having the sports communities here. Game threads for Orioles games had 0 comments. I’m not going to just sit there and post to myself.

The only thing I need a Chromium based browser for is casting my totally legit streams of sporting events to my TV.

Talk about a gross mischaracterization of what is actually said in that blog post. You made it seem like Firefox is getting rid of ad blocking which is far from the truth of what that post says. It doesn’t even mention ad blocking. Maybe don’t editorialize a post and present it as fact.

I mean, machine learning and AI does have benefits especially in research in the medical field. The consumer AI products are just stupid though.

Yeah, I do the same with my mortgage. Statements emailed to me monthly so I never need to log in to get them (annual escrow statement as well). Payments made via my normal bank’s Bill Pay feature. No reason to ever log in to my mortgage holder’s website/app.

I’ve completely lost faith in places like Amazon. Used to be able to find decent stuff there but unless you’re looking for a specific brand/item, it’s all crap. Wanted to find some relatively decent priced workout shorts with a compression liner built in. There’s so many shitty brands that all have the same damn images for the shorts. They’re all just going to be drop shipped BS from China with no one actually standing behind the product. I’m back to B&M stores now like Dick’s and their DSG line is actually reasonably priced and good quality.

Oh they already are. But if they start making porn subs like gonewild as paid services, those users are going to push the limits of whats allowed in other subs to try and just get people to stumble into their profile.

I can’t even imagine the creators in those subreddits would be thrilled since so many of them seemingly use those subs as a free advertising spot for their onlyfans. More of them are trying to be creative with overtly sexual questions in askreddit and people just stumbling in to their profile.

And that was paid AFTER you actually had service. I’m not tipping up front when I don’t know what kind of food/service I’m getting. So many places are asking for a tip when you pay for a drink/meal that they just call out your name/number. You’re not even bringing me the food, you’re just making it and slapping it on a counter. What am I tipping for? You making the food? Isn’t that why you get paid? Servers that bring you food and take your orders I get because they’re being shafted on wages from stupid bullshit laws.

To be fair, it only happens on the Promotions tab for me. They don’t inject anything on my normal inbox (at least on PC).

I mean, I feel like that’s going to happen regardless if you’re using an Android phone. I don’t think using a different app for GPS navigation is going to change that. I’m not saying we shouldn’t push for more stuff to be opt in and allow people to have their privacy maintained, but in the market right now, the app you use for GPS isn’t changing who is tracking you.

They have one on the inside but not the outside. That’s why the mom couldn’t get into the vehicle or the firefighters and they had to take an axe to the window. How are you supposed to pop the hood to jump start your car if the battery is dead and you can’t get in the car because the battery is dead? It’s just a stupid design to not have a manual override.

Sure you’d think you wouldn’t need regulations that state that there should be a manual way to open your car door. Have we gotten that stupid? Why in god’s name would you not have that option? What happens if the battery dies and you can’t start the car? You can’t open the door to pop the hood to even jump it. With all the brilliant people that work at a company like Tesla and no one thought there should be a way to open the door from the outside if there’s no power?

Commercial Real Estate Lending - Portfolio Management. I monitor loans for losses and collect periodic financial statements. I hate it. I used to do business loan underwriting and trying to get back into that. Had a dream job lined up but ended up failing the background check because of a bankruptcy 6 years ago.

Yeah I’ve actually been happy with the clothes I’ve gotten from Target too. Their All In Motion line or whatever it is has been nice for quarterzips for golfing. Found 32 degrees stuff at Costco and their website has all the basics I need (Polos/Casual slacks/underwear/socks) for cheap and its comfortable.

I’ve ended up shifting a lot of stuff back to brick and mortar just because Amazon can’t be trusted on anything that isn’t a brand you already know. I was looking for gym shorts with the sewn in compression shorts and all of it was just the exact same image under many stupid brands. Just a quick glance the same image is being used by Leidowei, Surenow, NELEUS, Ultra Performance, Aolesy, JWJ, Born Tough, Pudolla. Like how can you trust any of those? Went to Dicks and just bought their in store brand (DSG) and they’ve been working out great. Plus I can actually inspect them and try them on before buying. Unless you’re buying a known brand/commodity, Amazon is just filled with drop shippers and you can’t trust their reviews at all. We’re letting our Amazon Prime membership go this year because I just don’t need it anymore.
