The thing about any stalking and revenge downvotes is that everybody would be able to immediately see exactly what was happening, due to the added transparency. Rules could very easily be made against this. So, when I see this argument it strikes me as a bit of a red herring.
What I think is really going on, is some people want to be able to stalk and downvote bomb without being recognized, which the current system allows.

His first term there was a sense that he might shake things up, but they would eventually return to some semblance of balance of power. This second term, people still wonder deep down whether Trump might try to pull a S Korean style martial law declaration at some point, and perhaps meet greater success.
I think it’s often personal, as opposed to objective. A lot of people simply like it and do not want to lose access to something they like.

Assuming this is the US, I doubt it’s that easy to land on any sort of watchlist. Unfortunately, paranoia doesn’t require any actual hard evidence.
You know how you can put salt and pepper on most things? Salt comes from just about everywhere, but pepper does not.
A very brief one, sure, I could agree with that. Most assholes aren’t worth more than a few words from a mod though. This is the internet after all, trolls abound.
Check the modlog, they usually cite which rule was broken. I think “evil” is a pretty strong word, unfair maybe, but lots of things are unfair without being evil.
Awhile ago they released mod support, and I’m pretty sure I remember hearing about a mod that made it real time with pause.
I ended up dropping it too, but it’s more that I’m just not as into rpgs as I was in the past. I can recognize how good it is, but the genre just doesn’t do it for me anymore.
People have freedom. This includes the freedom to allow you or disallow you from being around them. You cannot simply break into someone’s house and talk to them if they don’t want you to, for instance.
Governments do not get this freedom. Governments should and frequently do get constraints that individuals should not.
Here, we are individuals, not governments. This service was made by a bunch of randos, it’s theirs. Not all of ours. We are here, in their house, because they invited us. They can disinvite us any time they want, they should and do have that freedom.

Certainly. But anti-elitist sentiment is broader than just this country, as is anti-capitalist sentiment. There’s a broad coalition of people that would celebrate something like this for a variety of reasons. I try to avoid taking people online purely at face value, since its so easy and commonplace to simply spin one’s opinions slightly into something that seems similar to solidarity with one specific position, but in reality is operating from a subtly different motive in an enemy-of-my-enemy sort of way.
That said, I do agree that a lot of it is from Americans. But it would be in the interest of a variety of different chaos-interested positions to amplify that in any way possible. To a communist, its class warfare. To a geopolitical rival, it’s a blow against stability. To the far right, it’s a blow against the liberal order. To social media companies its an enticing engagement. Etc etc etc.

It’s useful to remember that Americans are a minority on the English-speaking internet. There’s only 330 million of us, while the world has an estimated 1.5 billion English speakers. Probably much more if we include people that just know some of the language.
English is the global trade language, it’s frequently taken in school as a second language all over the world. If you learn some English, the amount of activities available to you dramatically increases.
Probably a locked cell phone, a keyring with some unidentifiable keys on it and a wallet with cards but no cash in it.
Hm. That’s a good question. It’d be up to that specific instance owner to take action, which not all would. Though even without an applicable rule, I think the transparency alone would cut down on the behavior more than people think.
