    • Must be willing to enforce instance rules as well.

    Yup, I can do that.

    • Being very active in /c/piracy will be a big a plus, as that will allow you to notice and respond to problem posts, even before they’re reported.

I’m probably not as active as I’d like to be but mostly because my Lemmy is set up to look at all.

    • Knowledgeable about pirate culture and tech a plus.

I’m not sure what you mean about pirate culture but I’m in tech.

    • Bonus if you’re an anarchist as that vibes with our instance’s culture, but not strictly necessary.

I’m not an anarchist but share many similar views. If that’s going to be an issue, I understand.

I’m on the US east Coast. UTC-5 right now.

Companies aren’t here to make life better. They are here to make money.

Every few months they would say, “Ugh the global supply chain is tightening” to prepare to raise prices.

All the while on their earnings calls they talk about how much profit they made in the last quarter.

  • According to new lending startups, your social media activity and how low you let your phone battery get can be read as signs of creditworthiness, making loans available to those who may not have qualified otherwise

Yet the article discusses none of this. Just vague “data points”.

This sounds like discrimination based on “algorithms” but one that is legal.
