meta account would be necessary unless there’s another way to run developer tools
i dont mean this in a judgemental way but that sounds like you dont understand or just dislike the process and conflate that with difficulty. the commands aren’t random, you just don’t know them. people who have learned how to use the OS (granted, not everyone has the time for that) generally know what commands do before they paste them in. I have a much easier time running a single command rather than navigating through layers of GUI but not everyone will share that preference
is it a pita because you expect it to function like windows or are there specific roadblocks youve encountered?

I ask because it works fine for me
or be downvoted, namecalled and perhaps have death threatened on you because you disagree with one point and are therefore the enemy
i wouldnt discount the function of having four thunderbolt ports with equal capability, you can plug a charger into any of them and it’s pretty common to see thunderbolt docks being used with any brand now if an abundance of ports is the goal. External SSD’s can be hooked up with usb-c and most users don’t need usb-A anymore. All that is really missing for the average user is HDMI in my opinion, and that requires a simple adapter if the first party dock is too expensive.
basically it’s very practical for the target user,it’s not lacking in function just because it’s missing ports that most of its users wont care about
average tech journalist
the commenters didn’t read it either
are you sure youre not confusing Mbps and MB/s

i use arch but i dont tell people about it wait shit
avg linux user
oh neat, there’s a new standard that pushes up to 240W
ouch, usb c caps out at 100W afaik
If it’s from the last few years and the barrel input has an adjacent usb-c port it may accept usb power delivery
The port may not even be labeled for it
