you were drawing an equivalence between actions of occupied people resisting their occupation and the people responsible. Saying that they were both terrorists. On the comm for the occupied people.
Israel doesn’t have a right to defend itself, YDI
if you tried, it would have to go something like this “see he said drag is full of shit and then pointed to awful behavior as analogous to them”
The video he linked was of matt walsh mocking someone using demon pronouns. Are you saying that the person using demon pronouns had awful behavior, or that matt walsh did?
The reason I ask is because jordan said “Every time I see you posting your imaginary bullshit I just remember this: [video of someone using demon pronouns]”
If he has such a problem with ‘non-real’ pronouns then it’s pretty much a straight line to conclude that he agrees with Matt Walsh in the video he linked.
You claim to be trans,
I am trans.
why are you so open to people who seem to not have respect for actual pronoun-related issues?
I’m not, I banned Jordan.
When some troll co opts the concept of choosing a pronoun and claims theirs is dragon, they’re clearly making a mockery of the whole concept even if accidentally.
Do you have the same issue with people using fae/faer? I already linked you reading material on this either way. If drag is a troll I’d rather be trolled than allow for an environment where people feel comfortable rolling up and posting matt walsh videos to mock other users.
I don’t know why you are bringing up Universalmonk to me to explain your varying grudges, he has nothing to do with this either thread in this post.
He was calling the dragon troll out for what they’re doing and rightly comparing him to bigot because he’s using others’ pain to troll.
He was saying that nonstandard pronouns ‘aren’t real’ and that using them was denigrating people with ‘legitimate use’ for alternate pronouns. He was not comparing drag to the bigot, he linked a video of a bigot mocking a trans person using nonstandard pronouns, and said:
Every time I see you posting your imaginary bullshit I just remember this
That sounds like he agrees with Matt Walsh’s view of non-standard pronouns.
But please do tell – exactly how is it transphobic for Jordan to write “look this person is being transphobic and that he seems like [link to transphobic person]”.
Jordan said:
“Every time I see you posting your imaginary bullshit I just remember this: [link to matt walsh mocking someone talking about their partner using they/them and demon pronouns]”
If you insist that he was embracing it
Seems like he was embracing it based on his exact words from the original post.
Why are you so invested in what other people get identified as?
It was transphobic, he linked a Matt Walsh video to mock someone.
Gender is something to be toyed with and dismantled. Nonbinary and trans people share the same struggle. Based on your behavior I have no reason to believe you’re here in good faith, but I’ll still invite you to read the gender accelerationist manifesto.
Calling this remotely related to transphobia will always be absurd
Considering the same sort of shitlords are consistently complaining about this, it seems like a great litmus test.
He obviously was equating that behavior in the video with that dragon fucker troll.
Yes, it very was obvious, that’s why he got banned for transphobia.
Are you implying trans people are making it up too?
I’m trans, I have no issue with anyone pushing the bounds on gender. Gender is part of oppressive systems to be dismantled in any way possible, not something to respect the ‘norms’ of.
I think your real problem with Jordan is that after months of letting universalmonk poison Lemmy with pro trump propaganda, he finally fucking banned him.
🙄 I suggest stepping away from the computer and going outside
Jordan straight up posted a matt walsh/libs of tiktok video as a derisive jab, posting transphobic shit gets you banned.
If you’re unwilling to call people by what they ask to be called on a trans instance you’re gonna get banned.
You asked me a rhetorical question-
Whats the percentage of Chinas pop that are prison workers, disclosed and undisclosed?
How would I have any idea what’s undisclosed? if you have some information share it, I’m not going on an easter egg hunt just to answer a bad faith question unrelated to the point I was making.
I haven’t responded because you started being rude. I wasn’t even the one to report you because I had to get back to work at the time.
People just be jumping right to insults and then get surprised when it gets removed. You just called me stupid in this post for example, maybe take a step back from the computer.
Not interested answering rhetorical questions, do your own research and present it.
also I use she/her not it tyyy
I’m not a search engine
why wouldn’t I be on .ml?
The US actually has a higher prison population than China, both per capita and total despite having a fraction of Chinas population. I’m not in favor of forced labor or the carceral state in general.
When it’s happening in the country I live in, it’s going to be a slightly higher priority for me.
If it happens in US it’s actually a privilege, not forced labor.
Characterizing prison work as forced labor is wrongheaded, he said, because most inmates who qualify for paid work earn that classification based on positive credits for behavior. “In other words, it’s a privilege,” he said, better than some of the other alternatives behind bars.
when I say ‘fediverse’ people think I’m saying ‘fetiverse’ and sometimes they ask if it’s like open source fetlife. 🫠
I’ve been having a ton of fun, I like the cultural exchange a lot.
Personally I don’t care if China has data on me, it’s not like it’s useful for them and I’d rather them than meta or the US government or whoever.
There’s also way more queer/trans content than I was expecting.
