Wow…I can’t tell what it is but this painting has a lot of it.
I’ve witnessed HR block exceptionally talented candidates because they believe they aren’t a good fit for the company culture…I’m in IT no one’s cares about the culture when critical infrastructure goes down and HR has zero clue about our culture in IT.
It’s OK for me to use AI, but you job hunters better not?!?!?!
When I’m at a screen I wanna work outside and when I’m working outside I desperately want to be back at my cushy screen time jobs.
I know some people who express their same story somewhere between ashamed and proudly…
I was born and raised in Cascadia and I have never once heard of it being some white racist ethnostate it’s more of a bioregion/cool people thing…I googled it and it looks like some folk in the 1840s wanted to do that but comparing us with them is ridiculous on your part to tell ya the truth.

Those microservers are dope!
They actually made a great suggestion with mikrotik…granted I come from a networking background but those can be as simple as you want or as complex as you need. Their products are resilient and prices are a chefs kiss for what you get. Now if they had recommended just some juniper or cisco gear I’d agree with you but mikrotik makes great products at great prices.
If you’re in school, everything being taught to you should be considered a core task and practically required. You can then reassess once you have graduated and a few years into your career as you’ll now possess the knowledge of what you need and what you like and what you should know. Until then, you have to trust the process.
Just makes me think of car talk
You haven’t updated your networking equipment in 6 years?
If you want a piece of paper that costs 20-40k, your approach is valid. If you want an education you need to invest a lot of time and effort.
It’s pretty wild…my company recently spent 2.5 billion for fab upgrade, spent the money, and applied for chips act money about a year into the process. As far as I know we haven’t received any yet and I hope it goes through because I’m sure a lot of good and honest people will lose their jobs if the company needs to find whatever Chips act was gonna pay.
Did you ever learn to play an instrument?
