Worked as the tech person for an office supply store in the US.

Regular (annoying) customer comes in with his desktop and printer in a cart asking for us to “verify the connections between his printer and computer”, because it wasn’t working.

Hook it all up to our work bench. It was a Win7 machine or something. Before I could navigate it, he urges me out of the way so he could show me what was wrong.

He opens chrome. You know how browsers will ask you to restore tabs when they close improperly? He clicked that option when it pops up. The first thing I see is a movie streaming site that’s in Russian with porn ads everywhere. Just raw dogging it.

He closes that tab to reveal an image of a naked child on the next tab. He closes that tab, and there’s another one.

I don’t really remember what I did, but in hindsight I wish I had called the police. I think he just ended up leaving the store with his stuff after that, but I learned months later that he came back in to use our self-service copiers and had more pictures, and our store manager threatened him and kicked him out.

Or that other cybertruck. Or the other one. Or that other one…

The Vvitch. I thought it started well but the ending was wildly unexpected and made no sense for how the movie set everything up.

Not lightweight, always online, full of children

My father in law brakes incredibly late. Consequently, he brakes very hard. Drives me (heh) insane, and causes me to reach for the oh-shit bar and the ghost brake every time.

Probably the food. Fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, sweet tea. Hoo boy.

Rock was a favorite of mine. The nude beach episode really stuck out to me.

And his dog’s name was Spunky, ffs.

The Night House is a really good horror/thriller, I don’t recall it having any gore.

The Menu is phenomenal, but does have a bit of blood and gore.

I don’t think I saw anyone mention Get Out, a fantastic movie.

I’m not a big movie guy, but these were some of my faves (along with Evil Dead, which have been mentioned a ton already 🙂)

The menu one is specifically so restaurants don’t get sued when they accidentally serve you raw products or food you’re allergic to.

I suppose that makes us litigious, which is pretty weird and sad.

I had nightmares from Dawn of the Dead for weeks. I was 8 or 9 when my mom tried to show it to me, lol

Supposedly my mother’s maternal grandfather (so, my great-grandfather) wrestled a bear. Also supposedly, there is a statue somewhere in West Virginia to celebrate this fact.

I’ve done some surface level searching online for this but haven’t found anything. Cool to think about, though!

The big incident at my previous job was the (extremely incompetent) HR person accidentally sharing a spreadsheet of every employee’s salary. I was an hourly worker at the time and thought it was funny, but some of the senior engineers were pissed to find out how much more other engineers made. HR was not fired, instead she was put on a temporary paid leave.

Other incidents include:

• One of the owners’ vape exploded, forcing everyone to evacuate.
• VP of the company got caught buying escort services on the company credit card.
• Aforementioned owner (who was no longer an owner after the company was bought out) got fired shortly after a town hall zoom meeting, where he used a Trump/Pence background.
• The head of the NOC team had a stroke at work.
• COO “accidentally” revealed in front of everyone that one of the Project Managers had cancer. She sued, and they settled.
• COO verbally abused one of the senior managers over the phone during a big meeting. He sued, and they settled.

It was a pretty shitty company.

I’m a simple chips enjoyer (or crisps if you’re a Britbong). Something salty to balance the sweet jelly. I usually eat crunchy peanut butter, so it’s already a little savory.

For me, the bread is part of the experience of the PB&J. You have piqued my interest, though. How do you prepare this PB&J burrito?

Not sure if anyone has said this, but hold your breath and swallow three times. The last one can be a little tough, but it has worked for me I’d say 90% of the time.
