Cory Doctorow’s article on why we should fight back against tarriffs with throwing out IP rights for these american companies is excellent. If we get tariffs put on Canada then we have no reason to respect american IP laws.

Build a Canadian market available to all the world to sell jailbreaking for IP locked products like John Deere farm equipment and Mcdonald’s ice cream machines so they can be fixed without having to take them to the overpriced dealerships to be gouged by subscriptions and no choice.

I have three grocery stores in town. Freshco, Save on, and Superstore. Two are canadian owned but Save on’s owner is a giant asshole who lives in Vancouver, Superstores owner is a giant asshole who lives in Toronto. The Freshco may be american but at least the owner of the actual store lives in town and is taking the time to point out the Canadian products in the store to people. I will do what I can to cut down on american food but sometimes eating takes precedent.

So the Liberals want him to get security briefings so that if he talks about them he will get into trouble?

Couldn’t he just talk about other things but not talk about the briefings? Is the leader of the Conservative party so unable to keep things to himself that he can’t be trusted with secrets? What happens if he is actually put in charge, as PM he gets the briefings then would he have a press conference and read out all the countries secrets?

I just have a 6 quart countertop one. I can make a pretty big stew in it. It has yogurt making function and sous vide mode as well. Way more functions than I will ever need. I just want it to last as long as my last electric pressure cooker, it lasted 20+ years before it melted down.

I don’t know how much room you have in your kitchen or cupboards but a sous vide machine does only one task. If you don’t have one already or you have any use for a pressure cooker, there are ones that have a sous vide mode. So you can have one machine that multiple uses instead of a single use appliance.

What revolution really takes is soldier’s that are protecting the system being unwilling to kill when the “rebels” are their family and friends.

If soldiers have love for the people and see common cause more than they fear their leaders then the leader can fall.

My partner went out to the store and bought 36 of them, clearing the shelf. They are her moms favorite candy, so she is going to give her a year+ supply of them.

I think the ancient Romans would make their richest people pay for the construction of warships. You would only get out of it by pointing to a richer person to pay.

Do that but not for warships, pay for infrastructure repair, all those roads and bridges that keep the economy going need to be brought up to today’s standards and new bridges built to replace ones that are crumbling. Their wealth could not have been built if not for the roads and tracks that are now crumbling beneath years of cuts to local and state/provincial governments.

Greed is the biggest issue we have in this world right now.

Kill tax breaks and strip the rich with 90% taxes on everything over 5 million dollars of any money they make even capital gains and investment income.

Own one home pay regular taxes, own two double the tax, own three triple the tax and so on until no one wants to own more homes. Same goes for corpos that rent to people at above market rates using software to drive rental prices up.

Greed must be made to be shameful and punishable not accepted and desired. Robber barons like Musk and Bezos should taxed into non existence.

They use a small hole punch device after a spray anesthetic on the area to make a pinhole size hole. They pull the vas through and cut it before sheathing the vas so sperm can’t get through then do the same with the second vas.
