Emancipitory movements have not had a backlash once given freedom the way you suggest throughout history. Take the South African apartheid or US slavery as examples. Hell, you’re more likely to get an Israeli KKK than a genocide attempt against Israelis.

You don’t know the political circumstances that lead them to such desperate measures (the Abraham accords isolating Palestinians and making their genocide more inevitable as this is obviously the goal of Israel.)
