You may be right in that people are seeing how viable Linux is for gaming due to the success of the Steam Deck.
I’m not sure if steam deck is counted under Arch, but it’s definitely not Ubuntu, Mint, or Manjaro. It looks like the increase in Linux desktop is traditional desktop gaming.

I love Fedora. It’s a great mix of rolling release, cutting edge and stability. It should be pretty familiar to you given your experience.

I’m a software engineer working remotely, and this has been my final blocker with moving to Wayland. Most team chat and collaboration apps finally support full screen sharing on Wayland, but the existing implementation is buggy and unreliable.
