Don’t feel bad that you established boundaries with your father. As for the complicated feelings you’re having, I can definitely empathize, albeit for different reasons.

Do you have a close friend, or therapist you can talk to to help you work through these feelings? Honestly, he may never be ready to give you the relationship you want. And that’s something you may have to work through on your own to come to terms with it.

Sounds like this whole capitalism thing we were sold was a lie. And most countries adopted it or already had that system before the U.S. showed up. Capitalism requires infinite growth, so we artificial insert these boom bust cycles to make the rich richer, and everybody else can eat a dick.

The dumbest thing about this is that Trump was in office when we needed these organizations the most. Oversaw a global health crisis while in office, and then basically ignored it and focused on getting re-elected.

Edit: that’s pretty much the only reason he didn’t get elected in a landslide. I remember thinking in 2019 the economy was doing well, and everybody attributed that to Trump (even tho economic anything lags executive branch policy by a few years, unless you do something extreme), i thought for sure he’s getting re-elected again in a landslide, to my dismay. It’s gonna take a lot more data and trust building to convince me to get in an autonomous piloted vehicle. After working in an industry that does autonomous driving and seeing some of it for myself, i don’t trust it at all.
