The idea of suggesting the word “noodles” doesn’t come from a racial point-of-view. I’m using “noodles” to describe the mess of dotfiles, which is like saying “spaghetti code” for poorly written code.

I guess you can argue it has a race association as the only reason we are coming up with a new word is because the old word is racist.

Yes. The color of the mucus is informative for Chinese medicine. I don’t have the full details of it, but if it’s transparent, that means you are dealing with “cold” infection, and you should use herbs that are “hot”. Oppositely, yellow means “hot” infection, and you should use “cold” herbs.

That’s right. It should not have the problem. That’s why this is confusing.

A few years back, I was installing Arch on an external hard disk. I was basically done, so I powered off the system, but I forgot to unmount the hard disk.

Then I tried to boot to the OS on my computer, which was also Arch, and it got stuck at the BIOS splash screen. No luck rebooting.

I remember panicking (because that was my only machine) and asking my computer teacher what to do and he also had no idea.

I ended up manually unplugging and replugging the hard disk inside the case and it worked. To this day I still don’t know what went wrong.

The phrasing is intentional. I do just want to see the reasons of hating it, and I think despite the downvotes, it’s working.

This is an assumption I made from observing users on Lemmy. I want to further understand their reasoning, and therefore put the assumption in the question.

This is why I asked this question. I suspected a lot of people are just hating the economic abuse instead of the technology itself.

Like people are downvoting because they saw the word “blockchain” (I’m guessing. Downvoters tell me why)

Honestly tho, this is one of the features of Simplified Chinese, which created the infamous “fuck vegetables” (干菜类).

It’s meant to say “dried vegetables” (乾菜類 in TC), but 乾→干. Meanwhile, there exists 幹→干 as well, which means “fuck”.
