Well said, I agree completely!
Try to also keep in mind what Keanue Reeves once said. I don’t remember the quote word for word but it’s like this. Someone asked him what he thinks happens after we die? And he said, “I don’t know, but I do know that the people who love you, will miss you.” And so, when you die the people who care about you suffer… This is the reason to keep living that many hold onto. Its a great quote from a very kind man.
I mean help people in your life, as it reduces their suffering, and it feels good for yourself in doing so. Show Compassion and the knowledge that reducing suffering either for yourself or others is more important than increasing pleasure for yourself. There is an in-balance in life. People generally have far more suffering than happiness… so it’s important to focus on not increasing other people’s suffering even more.
Negative Utilitarianism… To reduce Suffering in the world. To reduce more suffering than you cause.
Very interesting, and I can certainly see the sense in your words. Thank you for your insight!
Heya Stinky, how’s it going? I figure as the years tick over and everything becomes more grim and dire, more people will become familiar with the idea of Misanthropic Anti-Natalism and generally accept Human Extinction as a natural and good thing!
I can respect that, thank you for commenting!
Ok I’m sorry if I’ve worried you. I kinda knew even when posting this most people simply will not understand. I think it’s due to Self-Preservation and survival instincts hard-coded in all of us… no worries friend if you’re not convinced.
I’m chaotic Neutral mate… A realist… there’s no actual such thing as right or wrong, good or evil, up or down… Nothing actually matters in the universe… Now having said that, no, I don’t want the animals and plants on this planet to die or suffer! I want to know the term however… Also for the record I despise Order and Stagnation, reliability and the comfort of routine… Chaos, ever-changing and refusing to close doors… While also acknowledging and understanding the Paradox of Tolerance.
I mean if that’s completely true then is answer no life at all? I’m gonna have to ask the AI more questions? What is it called, the philosophy that NO, ZERO, ZILCH, NADA life should be allowed to exist? We talking Mass Effect Reaper Thinking? I seem to recall either Iain M Banks or perhaps Neal Asher, no wait probably Peter F. Hamilton writing about deep-space AI systems wiping out any life that arises from the muck.

Correct, that person was fired.
So here I was loading stuff onto a pallet. I was on foot next to my Forklift. Around the corner comes another forklift going way too fast and backwards with a double-high load. It runs right up onto my right foot and had it gone much further would have broken my leg. What happened instead was the steel-toe metal part of the boot crumpled over my big toe and other toes. It shattered the big one in several places and broke two others as well. They had to cut the boot off of me… This happened on New Year’s Eve about 10 years ago. It took almost 6 months to walk normally again and a lot of physical therapy.
Trippy! Like a daydream at bath-time.
Very cool piece here… It has a a certain charm, unsettling vibe even.
It reminds me of Ergo Proxy… I love it!
No joke, it will probably kill us all… The Doomsday Clock is citing Fascism, Nazis, Pandemics, Global Warming, Nuclear War, and AI as the harbingers of our collective extinction… The only thing I would add, is that AI itself will likely speed-run and coordinate these other world-ending disasters… It’s both Humanity’s greatest invention, and also our assured doom.
