Strange, same bug as in meta, hmmm! Are they preparing something and went live too early??
Big firewall of US incoming??
I had it like this in Reddit and my account 90% porn only pretty fast and I missed all the non porn stuff 😅
So starting here on lemmy I decided to go for a split right from beginning on different instances to additionally check each instance’s meta community about downtimes in case of a downtime.
What exactly works better on flatpak version? Until now, for any packages that were somehow different, repo vs flatpak, were working better in repo version. (Due to container thingy, because flatpak version could bot see everything and I was zoo lazy to fix it using flatseal 😆)
Yea, I would say either go for arch manually or go straight to endeavourOS
I can recommend using endeavourOS if you do not want to waste time
But if you want to learn, go for it! Make sure to have the arch wiki ready on a second device
And understand what chroot is, is very important 😆😌
Edit: Ah and don’t forget to install yet another yoghurt
How did you get snap on mint?! 😆I once tried it as a noob and mint was always “snap bad! Don’t do this! You will regret” even on try to circumvent it 🤣
I think fedora is best for user that want a recent kernel and reasonably fast update cycle (like not a year behind) but are not interested in rolling (for whatever reason ever).
I love rolling and had no issues due to rolling yet
Hu? you are here? Aren’t you?
That is good news for my nsfwlemmy.com alt 😏😆
I hope texudo manages soon to get Linux running well on snapdragons!
😆”there is no need to change default speed”.
You know, there is not a globally agreed “perfect” scrolling speed, even if driver is better for windows.
But the better driver on windows maybe allows changing scroll speed after all.
I guess not, changing scroll speed does not work on a lot of touchpads, even on windows.
😇 in my mind, I included those datasets in data
But sure! I agree! We need free and open science, worldwide
People need to understand the art of scientific thinking
Yes! I di so too 😆 every device with an open/hackable boot loader, I am be like, “You know, you can install Linux on this and be free!”
Blocklist is way better than blacklist anyway 😇
Just install them a browser and pin it to task bar on mint. Maybe add all important websites to favourites, and boom 99% of use cases of common people: Check ✅
😶
didn’t have any issues
You see the issues if you have sleeping agents on your machine and thus being part of botnets…
Additionally, it could be the entry point into your network, if connected to the internet. Your other modern PC trust you, to keep your LAN clean, so they are not as protective about LAN stuff than about stuff coming from WAN.
They are already here…
That is most likely not a linux issue, but a driver issue, if the driver was as bad on windows as it is on Linux, you would need to do the same to achieve that with that hardware. 🤔
Or, if handled by window manager, it may be, that there are different implementations for different managers, and yours happened to not support scroll speed change🤔
To be fair, most common user do not change scroll speed.
But I agree, most will just continue using unsafe windows 10
❤️
