Am I missing something or is Miru $13.99 for the Android app? Just want to make sure I’m looking at the right thing before I buy it. Also really surprised something like this is on Google Play.

I hate what Canadian airlines are getting away with, it’s such bullshit. I was traveling with my family over the summer and because of events out of our control, we weren’t able to check in for our return flight early and had to do it when we got to the airport. Air Canada turns around and says my parents don’t have a assigned seats and are on the standby list for if one becomes available. How the fuck are they allowed to over-sell a flight? We paid for our seats the same as anyone else but here they are saying that there was no seat available. It was fucked up and they shouldn’t be allowed to charge hundreds for just the possibility of flying home.
Luckily it worked out and we were all able to get seats, but the stress this caused and the fact that this is perfectly legal is completely unacceptable.
Not to mention they take so long to actually open up so you could chop off the peduncle before it blooms. It’s weeks between peduncle formation and blooming :P
What do you mean? Don’t you love getting taxed on your income twice? Once at the paycheque and once on the purchase?? So fun!
I live in Canada, the province I’m in is more on the humid side but nothing crazy. The humidity in my house is usually around 45-50%. My one ping was around a heat pump and has been doing fine, no issues with the bottled water yet 🤷♀️
The top one, the sundew! The ones I have aren’t too bad honestly, I only have 4. Pinguiculas are the 3 I started with and the main thing to remember is they need low/no-mineral water (I honestly have just been using bottled since I had a case handy). They need neutral soil (plain sphagnum moss has been my go-to), and as long as they’re kept relatively damp since they’re naturally found in a swamp you’re good to go!
They’ve been easy to take care of and I definitely appreciate them picking up the stray fungus gnats. If you’re interested, definitely read up on them but they’re honestly super easy to look after and have been a great starter carnivorous for me. I’ve heard sundews are even easier so I’ll see how that goes!
My thinking would be why risk not getting checked out? Unfortunately worst case scenario happened this time :(
