Love it! I was recently thinking about the stuff a lot. Yesterday me and my wife were watching our first marvel movie together and she had sooooo much knowledge of the characters and universe. She said she was always so self conscious of that because she was always taught its a “guy thing” to love comic books and superheros. She said she knows i don’t care about that but she was still worried i would think she is to “boyish”. I said i love how much she knows and i want her to be herself and tell me all about it. Not whatever gender role she was told to act like. She grew up in a very conservative right wing family. She is a hardcore leftist nowadays and learning to stand up for herself and i couldn’t be prouder of her.

This plays such a bigger role in our daily lives than we think and its important to talk about.

This is something I’m very much behind. I think firefox is doing something similar if i am not mistaken. One of my favorite shows is a Japanese tv show called GameCenter CX. Fans create subtitles but its a lot of work. Lately they have been using ai to generate subtitles and while some are a bit messed up, you at least get the idea what is going on and they can work off of that if necessary.

That is just not true. I hate twitter but i still use it. I am autistic and follow very specific things on it and while i also use mastodon and bluesky, there is barely anyone that has the same current interests as i do.

I don’t like it but i also don’t completely want to alienate myself from people i enjoy talking to and seeing their stuff. I try to follow them all on mastodon and bluesky if they have an account there, but not everyone has that.

I have all ads blocked and purely use it for my hobbies. So suggesting that makes me a fascist is absolutely ridiculous. We are trying to move to another platform but its not as easy as you make it out to be.

What exactly do you mean with identity politics in the game? Why do you even bring it up on the forums? Is the game letting you select pronouns? Do you pick a body instead of “sex” in the character selection screen? Are you forced to undergo gender reassignment surgery upon logging into the game?

I am not trans. I am not LGBT. I’m an ally but i have never had any issues with LGBT people. Never ever have i felt like anything is “shoved down my throat”, forced or whatever on me. Never have they ever even had a big conversation about it with me. The ONLY thing we talked about was when i meet someone and they tell me their pronouns. He, she, they or whatever else they want. Then i respond with “okay cool” and thats the end of it.

I really don’t understand why you feel like its the only thing we talk about? The right brings it up 24/7 and when they see anyone even with a pride flag in their profile, or maybe their pronouns, they have an absolute baby meltdown.
