Eh, Vesktop already works and is actually open source. My issue has always been the fact that discord was built on an old version of electron that didn’t support Wayland screen share at all. I didn’t see any mention in this article if that was ever rectified, but with the issue already resolved by a third party, why even bother now.
It was always so ridiculous that you could just open the website and it worked perfectly fine, but the official application didn’t work.
Given that most of the temperature differential is due to heat transfer, it’s really almost completely irrelevant. A refrigerator doesn’t generate cold. It moves heat out and insulates. The only actual “gain” would be from the residual heat generated by the inefficiency of the electrical components. You’d probably negate any benefits just by opening the door to the house to get the ice.
