It’s just being offended for the Chinese people, with no regard to what the Chinese people actually think. Typical.
I’m just your average Canadian wolf. I’m a siren enthusiast and railfan as my main hobbies. I run the Civil Defense Sirens Wiki, and am working on restoring a few vintage sirens (such as a FS&S Model L and a rare Sterling Siren MOD. F) as well as a 1970s Safetran mechanical crossing bell.

Sour Cream and Cheddar is definitely their best imo.
My grandparents voted for Trump despite myself and my family telling them we won’t visit them in the US again if they did. Guess who they chose over us? We’re sticking to our word, I have no intention of ever stepping foot in the US until it gets its collective shit together.
Michigan’s governor warned of this. It’s going to very badly affect the automotive sector.
How 'bout no?
Misery loves company, and these are very miserable, angry, hateful people. If they can’t be happy, no one can.
Plus, we live in a time where building a computer has never been easier. Everything is pretty clearly labeled, connectors rarely go in multiple places so it’s difficult to mix up connections, and there are tons of guides online to assist you. Putting together a PC today is like putting together expensive Legos, I managed to succeed on my first try with no experience and later built 2 more.
Have you not considered a majority of those downvotes are likely done ironically…? Seems natural to me that a post asking people not to downvote irresponsibly would get bombarded with them. It’s like putting a “DO NOT PUSH” sign over a big red button.
Talk about an ironic username. YDI for going into a thread and immediately being accusatory and hostile towards others. This sort of behaviour would be unwelcome in most communities regardless of being on .world or not. If you had phrased things in a different, less hostile way (perhaps “I do not feel comfortable seeing horses in captivity”) then you likely wouldn’t have faced serious backlash or moderator action.
Regardless of what your beliefs are and how strongly you feel about them, being a hostile jerk will get you booted pretty fast from almost any community and it’s best to refrain from doing so if you actually want anyone to listen.
Welp, I definitely ate the Onion with this one. Reality is so fucking bonkers at this point that it’s hard to tell what’s satire and what isn’t.
Just check any thread involving China, Russia or North Korea. Or any thread regarding .ml or .world. They’ll always show up.
It’s hilarious. I have them all tagged and the same usual suspects always show up like clockwork.
Their entire thing is “dunking” on people. It’s all harassment and bad faith acting.
Their entire stated purpose of federating is to “dunk” on people and “dismantle Western propaganda”. They’re not interested in participating in good faith and never have been. They don’t see anyone who disagrees with them as a person, just something to yell at and harass.
Hexbear has proven so many times to be completely unreasonable that it isn’t worth wading through that much toxicity to find the good parts.
You likely have never been a target of their vitriol. Consider yourself lucky.
“Sometimes” is an understatement. Their entire purpose for federating with other instances is to attack and “dunk” on anyone who remotely disagrees with them.
Antiyanks is a user who gets banned constantly and keeps making new accounts over and over. If you see a brand new account that attacks other people and quickly gets banned, that’s them. Their usernames usually insult the admins or Americans and they tend to use small instances for new accounts making them very easy to spot.
They claim to have hobbies outside of insulting people on Lemmy, but I find that very hard to believe given how dedicated they are to it. They were already up to over 30 accounts just 2 months ago.
Timmie’s is owned by Restaurant Brands International, who owns Popeye’s and Burger King. They’re Brazilian now.
