One of the problems we had in our house was use. My wife likes to sit with her phone vertically resting on her while she lounges. That caused the cables to wear out quickly. We purchased right angle cables and it seemed to help a lot.

Distrowatch.

What are you intending to do with these images when you download them? Manual upgrades?
I think you are approaching the answer you needed versus the one you were seeking.
In programming I have had to accept the limitations of the tech I was working with versus the automation I wanted to create. Sometimes I had to abandon something I wrote and rewrite it in a different language to accomplish my goals.
The LLM doesn’t understand the limitations, and will pull code from popular answers without consideration to the project you are creating. If you choose to use a LLM, you will need to break up your project into steps and integrate the steps.
The AI will provide methods you could try, but ultimately a human will need to review and edit the code.
I was expecting them to be more expensive, but $85/drive isn’t bad.
Hardware wise, are the drives SATA? I couldn’t get an answer at a glance. If you are running them mirrored, you can back off on the cost.
The three drives may ramp up the fan on that. Check to see if there are additional fan headers and add some intake fans.
My apologies. I got fooled by the headlines. Looks like people are reproducing it anyway.
It is a an open source model that claims to have been trained for $5 million, while openai says they have spent 7 billion on research. So far it appears to run on par with chat gpt. This is causing investors to flock to competition to try creating the next one. Also, this causes investors to back off seeing a sudden bloom in cheap competition.
I’m not cut out for this.
I was trying to imagine it and can’t imagine seeing new tech and not putting my hands on it.
Low tech commune.
I agree. I avoid any AI gen smell. It has the hallmarks of being subpar. Any images, however esoteric, would be much better.
I have this experience when falling asleep to video. I’m expecting that this is what dementia will feel like.
Ah, I think a couple months is fine. I just get some green scrubbers like Scotch pads for tough scrubbing and otherwise use a wash rag.
I learned this early on in my career, when I was in college actually. I wanted to talk with a coworker who was already in IT and found he had zero interest in memes, games, or anything ‘nerd culture.’
Ugh, that sucks. I can understand not wanting to go back to the same environment once you clock out for the day.
I work with several devs who would rather never see a computer again.
A lot of people in IT, especially programmers I have met, are completely uninterested in gaming.
To be sure, there are PLENTY of gamers in IT, but many people I have met are done with computers once they get home.
I feel that. Could rip them before you watch!
Still a hack when you repurposed old tech. I can still do stuff with old old hardware.
