What situations are you thinking of that requires reasoning?
I’ve used LLMs to create software i needed but couldn’t find online.

Exactly. The naming of the technology would make you assume it’s intelligent. It’s not.
This is a bad example… If I ask a friend "is strawberry spelled with one or two r’s"they would think I’m asking about the last part of the word.
The question seems to be specifically made to trip up LLMs. I’ve never heard anyone ask how many of a certain letter is in a word. I’ve heard people ask how you spell a word and if it’s with one or two of a specific letter though.
If you think of LLMs as something with actual intelligence you’re going to be very unimpressed… It’s just a model to predict the next word.
I don’t know enough to be able to say how easy it is to take over, but having been done by a single person could mean that no one else has the skills or the interest to do it, or maybe to do it as well as the original person.
I can definitely see why it could make a Linux user worried.
That’s not obvious at all…
Maybe it is to people who are really deep into the Linux world but generally if there’s only a single person in the world doing something, it’s never obvious that someone else will start to do that if the first person stops.
Exactly. Any normal person despises pedophiles. We don’t need a shirt to let others know.
I’d be willing to bet money that this guy is a pedophile himself.
Many people have speculated on the point of life but the way I see it the only universal point of life is to reproduce…
You can make your own human existence about whatever you want though.
To me it sounds like you could benefit from helping people locally. Seeing the news of things happening on the other side of the globe can make you feel helpless but if you help out locally by volunteering or some other way that makes sense to you, you can combat that feeling of helplessness.
I kind of like splitting hairs. It’s a god way to hone my opinion on things.
If people don’t want to do that they can just not respond to my comments… It’s not like I’m spamming posts or attacking people. I don’t understand how I deserve to be banned for that.
I did ask myself. I don’t think I did anything wrong here though…
Usually I get banned for being a liberal leftist cuck or whatever the right side calls you when they disagree with your opinion or can’t handle push back on theirs…
It’s just on leftist leaning subs I get banned for being a mazi…
You think me asking if being against DEI equals to being a nazi now, should result in an immidiately ban? Is that really crossing some line?
Try one of their lines and I’ll refute it in 2 sentences…
None of what you said is a good argument for censorship in my opinion.
Why is now not the time? If it’s now a lot of them comes out the woodwork it’s now you have a chance to change their mind or at least argue the other side so they hear opinions that doesn’t align 100% with their own.
A good example from some influencers recently is asmongold and hasanabi.
Asmon had some opinions about Israel/Palestine that were pretty aggressive. Instead of ignoring him Hassan had a multiple hour long conversation with him and at least to a degree, managed to change asmongolds stance.
Had he just said “nah I don’t talk to people with that opinion” , nothing would have changed…
I never said to tolerate them or not let them know why their ideology is fucked up.
The problem with your statement or at least how other people act on those same thoughts is that the cut off for when someone is a nazi becomes less and less.
I was called a nazi sympathiser and banned from a sub lemm.ee for asking if being against DEI equals being a nazi now.
Nobody wanted to even discuss it. They just assume the very worst of you, call you a nazi and then ban you.
That’s how you end up with echo chambers.
I just don’t understand why it’s a problem that the nazis come out. Would we not rather they utter their opinions in the open so they can be refuted? That way people can also just ignore that user if they don’t like viewing what he has to say.
It’s not like they don’t exist just because we ban them here… They’ll go somewhere to discuss where only other people who agree with them is allowed to be.
Unless we’re talking direct threats or doxing I’m always an advocate for free speech online.
Found a massive pine cone in Rome when I visited about 24 years ago.
Not really sure why I kept it but I did.
Ban-test
Doesn’t all immutable distros have updates that can’t be cancelled and that will either complete or not change anything?
I only just started learning about immutable distros so I may be completely wrong but it’s how I understand them to work when reading about it.
Isn’t that just their nomenclature for immutable?
What’s the difference between an atomic distro and an immutable one?
It’s it’s a command that is regularly used it should be baked into the gui somehow.
I think coding is one of the areas where LLMs are most useful for private individuals at this point in time.
It’s not yet at the point where you just give it a prompt and it spits out flawless code.
For someone like me that are decent with computers but have little to no coding experience it’s an absolutely amazing tool/teacher.
