  • For inside hobbies there’s board game groups, tabletop roleplaying, TCGs (Magic, Pokemon). A lot of Local Game stores run events that don’t require you to know anyone to start. If you like cooking, there could be local classes or a short course run by a college that you could do.

More out of left field, I found that dancing introduces you to a lot of people. Lindy Hop (vintage swing dancing), Salsa, Bootscooting. Pick your poison and there is likely to be a dozen classes or social dances in your area. Not for everyone of course, but usually if someone goes out to dance they want to be social, so you’re bound to find someone to chat with.

  • You have ignored my question about which part of the right-wing rhetoric we should be taking seriously.

If someone threatens my family and friends with violence and death, they get no sympathy from me. The difference is I am just a rando on the internet. Trump is potentially the 47th president of the United States. Trump has said terrible things that allude to violent insurrections and the killing of innocent people.

But you’re right, we should take his points seriously and incorporate them into society going forward.

    Get fucked.

  • What complaint am I supposed to be taking seriously exactly?

The one where trans people are invading women’s spaces to rape them?

The one where immigrants are all violent criminals who eat dogs?

Or maybe the one where women are getting abortions instead of using birth control and should not be allowed to make decisions about their own bodies?

I am a white man. I don’t care about the complaints of white men that boil down to “I’ve been on top for so long that any attempt at equity feels like a threat to that position”.

  • This shit again?

If you are going to ask the question “why won’t people date me?” And then combatively respond to anyone who has answers or suggestions, then you shouldn’t post here. There is genuinely good advice in this thread, but this user is only looking for a pity party and attention.

If I asked “why do I always burn my dinner?”, but ignore the people who suggest setting the oven to a lower temperature, I’ve not only wasted their time but my own.

  • Just give us the book. Why is “The Druid” a live event that I have to tune in for? I don’t need some fake-enthusiastic guy in a graphic tee trying to hype up the Wizard class. We know what that is, just get on with it. Is anyone who isn’t already on board with 6e going to be swayed by this stuff?

This all reeks of AAA gaming promotion. They are trying to get that E3 Hype for a ttrpg, and you can feel the season passes and microtransactions being tinkered with in Beyond.
