Will they really lose much money though? Chip makers (NVIDIA especially) have practically been able to sell everything they can produce since before the start of COVID, so I doubt they will lose a lot from this
Can’t count on the library of Alexandria staying up over time either

If you don’t use it then how is it a big deal if it’s monitored?
Heavy subsidies to our own industry are definitely a better alternative, but our politicians would rather cry “China bad” and further line the pockets of our ruling class
