Didn’t he just shut down American chip manufacturing, too? How can the broligarchy rule over us if we can’t afford computers?

A dozen times is not enough. This needs to be what is pictured when people think of Musk. May he never escape it.
My family, the family I have left, already barely escaped Nazis once. I’m not keen to do it again. The fact that there’s been so little coverage of this has been maddening. The milquetoast response from the press, infuriating. There was a time he would have been escorted off that stage in cuffs, but if we were in that time we wouldn’t have a criminal rapist as president who admitted to rigging Pennsylvania’s election. Anyway I digress. In summary:
Proton? More like pro Nazi.
I don’t want to put a target on my or my families backs 😓
Milquetoast satire at best
Dang, I’ve heard a lot of good things about Vietnam, but that takes the cake!
Unfortunately for Macro photography the kit lenses aren’t going to cut it. Now full disclosure I use Nikon and not Canon, so I haven’t used this lens, but the Canon RF 35mm f/1.8 Macro STM lens looks like a solid choice for 1:2 magnification at a super reasonable price. If you have the option you could rent some equipment and see what works best for you.
Definitely a solid choice. You’re going to need a macro lens and Canon has some great ones for the RF mount. That’s going to cost you about twice the budget you’ve described, though. At least in USD.
Fact is photography is an expensive hobby and depending on your definition of quality and the type of photography you’re into $600 could be plenty or it could be nothing. Here’s some options, though.
Canon EOS M50 Mark ll: A mirrorless camera with a 24.1 MP APS-C sensor. Iť’s small, portable, and comes with a kit lens to get you started. As you go you will discover what your needs are from a lens and you can upgrade accordingly.
Sony Alpha a6000: Another mirrorless option with a 24.3 MP APS-C sensor. Compact, good image quality, and fast autofocus. Again the kit lens should be enough to get you started.
Panasonic Lumix FZ300: This one is fixed lens, but you get quite a range out of that one lens. It’s also weather-sealed, which is handy for outdoor use.
Buying refurbished or from a reseller like B&H or even eBay, if possible, could really help you get the most out of your budget and reach a little higher than what I’ve suggested.
You don’t need much to start, an SD card, preferably 64GB or higher. Maybe a waterproof camera bag for hiking, but it’s not essential and many new cameras will come with a bag. You may eventually want a nice tripod, and backup batteries for longer trips.
Seeebox and VPN.
That is not my experience. And you need a PC with the Zune software to manage your media on the player.
I have multiple 120GB Zunes, one being my original and the others I bought for cheap when everyone was dumping them for their phones. They all work fine. You do have to track down the software; I keep the executable on my local file share. I just found my old brown 30GB Zune in storage. It has music from a bunch of local bands from the area I grew up in that are irreplaceable. Unfortunately the software can’t read it because the firmware is out of date, and it can’t be updated without wiping the music off it, which defeats the purpose. There’s a utility called zalternator that allows you to mount the zune as a disk but I haven’t been able to find a copy anywhere. I was going to make a Windows XP VM and install the 1.1 version of the Zune software and see if that works. I digress, they do work still, with a bit of effort. MS could have brought it all back after GotG3 and cashed in, but nope!
It’s funny to me that I couldn’t* even tell which post of mine this was a response to 😅
Yes, we are quite anachronistic in my house.
My daughter wants to play Sims 3 and use her Zune. I’m sure it’s possible to do both with enough work and time spent tracking down old utilities but how much time do I want to spend on that when I could just crank out a VM.
Corporate is an amazing and underrated show. Hoping it gets the Detroiters treatment, soon.
“I’m disabled!” Is a classic reference in my house that cannot be used in pleasant / uncultured company. It’s great to see my people are out there!
I’m not the biggest Seth MacFarlane fan, but the American Dad episode “Joint Custody” is pure classic.
I really want to pick an episode of Community, but I’m having a hard time nailing down just one. There’s the obvious answers like Remedial Chaos Theory or Modern Warfare. I just love the whole series. Maybe Basic Intergluteal Numismatics, The Asscrack Bandit episode, just because it’s so layered it really lends itself to rewatches.
Master of None has its issues, but there’s some standouts in the first season. Parents and Mornings always get me.
Thanks. I wasn’t able to through Sync so I assumed I couldn’t.
Wow I really botched that headline.
That seems to be the most logical conclusion.
