I buy the orange stuff by the gallon because I can use it for bike chain degreasing, and woodworking ( as a solvent for oil finishes, etc.), etc.

One common, readily available, relatively unharmful type is citrus decreasers like Citrisolv or similar.
Good touch or bad touch?
I hear ‘weary’ used in place of ‘wary’, I don’t think I’ve come across the reverse. Drives me crazy though.
Unless you bake some incriminating evidence into it.
Thank you! I’ve always heard the former and never felt it quite made sense. Now I understand why.
I like how you roll.
ARCnet forever!
I know nothing about Norway but in the US in the early to mid 20th century, electric clocks used the 60 hz frequency of the electrical grid to keep accurate time. They even used to keep that frequency carefully calibrated for that purpose.
But a typical clock outlet is a touch lower then the one here and would never stick out like that. Often they were even set in a bit because you’d typically put the (big, round, analog) clock over the outlet to hide it.
TIL a new word. I’m just curious, do people commonly refer to it as ‘the bosque’ around there the same way we might say ‘the woods’?
I used to go back and forth between watching TV for a few months and stating away from it for several months. It was interesting how when coming back to it how incredibly stupid and obnoxious the ads were, but how quickly you get numbed to that again.
That’s more obnoxious then leaving a flier in my mailbox. I’m not calling any contractor who does either. If they were any good they wouldn’t need to do that, word of mouth would keep them busy.
I don’t understand why you would connect these two things. Since when does any power’s foreign policy treat those in the rest of the world as if they have any of the rights afforded to their own citizens? The US certainly doesn’t.
I mean you kind of have to accept that a sex partner used the very same body parts with other people, and if anything, those are even harder to sterilize. So your assumption that a person who doesn’t share with you an irrational greater concern about toys is untrustworthy seems problematic.
I never thought to connect those two things, but now that you bring it up, I’m not sure I can picture someone driving a cybertruck without a white man’s overbite.
Adding the white man’s overbite to it does seem like an innovation.
Late summer wind in trees: the sound made by the leaves. I specified late summer because as the season progresses the leaves get less soft and make more sound, at least in my part of the world.
I think genX most keeps their mouth shut about the generation wars because they were least touched by propaganga about it. Boomers were primed from the start with bullshit about the specialness of their generation. And it wasn’t until genx was old enough to be over it, that the divisive cross-generation blaming got into full swing.
The gum you like is going to come back into style.
I don’t know about ‘better’, but I prefer it for being less fumey, I feel better about occasionally getting some on my skin, and prefer not using petroleum derivatives. I know there’s low fume mineral spirits and I’ve used that for paint cleanup, but i’m not confident it behaves the same for finishes.
