There are lots of decent actual plays on YouTube that can give you a very solid idea of how it actually works in practice. My personal favourite style is the glass cannon network as they tend to lean towards how your home game might be (ie it’s not all serious and there’s goofing off during the game) but I’m sure people have specific recommendations for cyberpunk and dungeons and dragons

In summary the labour party have about 3 years to make some noticeable impact to people’s lives in the UK, but all that against the backdrop of huge financial issues incurred during the past decade or so, increasing war and conflict and now the Trump presidency.

There very well maybe people who will follow the conservative party on their way further right. The UK already had it’s brexit moment and has not really learned from it fully.

Once you have this set up, you won’t worry about it again. It will just become “the way it is done”. And it’s just the correct way to build software IMHO, even if you have no plans right now to offer multiple languages.

There are two YouTubes. One is the “creator” YouTube, algorithms, numbers blah blah

The other is the actual content creator YouTube. These are the channels that people actually follow. If captain disillusion set up his own RSS feed for videos, and I had the method to subscribe to it, I’d no longer need YouTube

The argument that YouTube has the algorithm and recommendations etc is moot, that’s the same job that every network does, you could absolutely replace this

The video content would have to be self hosted probably. How it used to be. So we need all these tools to eat YouTube’s lunch

There are two starter sets that are relatively cheap, the newest one is literally called ‘starter set’ and a slightly older one called the ‘essentials kit’.

These don’t contain full rules or player handbooks or anything, but are intended to provide enough to get going which is what it sounds like you need.

You can DEFINITELY play with just two player characters and a games master and I would strongly recommend jumping in to the latter role fully, without trying to also play along. It can be done but your players will be relying on you to keep the game moving and interesting, as well as playing all the other characters they will meet.

I’ve run the essentials kit and while it has its flaws it totally works as intended so I can vouch for that

It’s a shame because the film with Seimetz is called Upstream Color and it’s great. I saw it before the allegations so I’m glad I have an unfettered experience of it.
