  • A couple years ago, my dishwasher was working well, but making a very loud vibration whenever the drain pump was operating.

Took it all apart, only got a little dirty water all over myself, and found a perfect cube shape of something with the consistency of cheddar cheese impaled on one of the metal impeller blades.

No idea what it was or how it got past the filter, but it’s been working perfectly ever since.

  • I’ve never used a Roku–can you install a speed test app or access a website to verify your network connection is solid?

The one and only time I’ve experienced stuttering from my media server, I eventually found that my chromecast had roamed to a different access point with low signal for some reason. There is a handy android app to get your chromecast to run and display a speed test, which is what clued me in.

Uncompressed bluray streams use a surprising amount of bandwidth, let alone 4k bluray! Especially compared.to Netflix, Hulu, etc.

You can tell OP does not believe any person outside of America is human.

You did a lot more than conclude they have either been tuned out or need to re-think some things, and you know it.

Get out of here with that "If you’re not vocally against every evil at all times… " bullshit. It’s got the same energy as injecting “but what about men?” into every conversation about women’s problems.

  • M:tG cards back in the late 90s.

There was a local comic book store called (no shit) The Funk Pit, which kept the mid tier cards stored in 3 ring binders full of those plastic card sleeves, and common cards stored in an “Inch Box” where they just charged you by the height of your stack. My friend and I would occasionally sneak a more expensive card out of the binder and slip it into our stack from the Inch Deck that cost $1.25.

There’s no way we were the first or last to do it, but I felt kinda shitty about it for years after.
