Yeah I eat quite a few plant-based meals but I’m glad they’re vegetarians who are okay with dairy and eggs and not fully vegan. I don’t know if I could afford two vegans in the house on top of the other four of us. Food costs are crazy right now. I think having hand raised backyard chickens who love to be held and love to give their eggs, that made the difference. Not all poultry farming or milk production is traumatic. If I could get a little more land I’d think about a few milk cows so I could make my own cheese.

My problem is we have three teenagers of our own plus an extra one who lives with us 60% of the time. Two of them are vegetarian but eat eggs for protein. The rest of us just like eggs. We go through about 3-4 dozen a week.

Whatever it was, it’s zero now.

I am an admin for my job’s page on FB. I don’t have it installed on my phone, I have to sit down at a PC to use it. I don’t post anything personal. Also, since I’m already on there, I represent my team on a team game’s recruiting page. But man do I hate FB. Yesterday my wife asked me to put something up on Marketplace. I answered I don’t want to be there at all. I am moving 90% of my job’s Win10 PCs over to Linux tho. I’m not a boomer.

Unfortunately there’s almost nothing left once you’ve blocked all that. I’m close to leaving. No one will miss me, whatever. Occasionally I have a nice interaction though.

I was planning on protesting whoever won, I am opposed to parts of both parties platforms. Since he won, I’ll be protesting Trump’s stuff I guess.

Yeah I’ve been in Ohio for a couple of decades now. I travel to the Smokies and Rockies as often as I can, also MI and PA but work has been a challenge recently. I have lived out West and internationally and in the Midwest. I’ve learned to not let my location get in my way too much. My ice axe and crampons still call to me sometimes though.

We don’t have bus stops here so people do a lot of communal moaning in shops and markets.

It doesn’t snow enough. I own snowshoes. I also like to winter camp. I just got back from some time on the shore of lake Erie. I’d love to do winter mountaineering but I don’t live near mountains and haven’t been able to take time off of work for travel.

It gets complicated when upriver states do that and downriver states don’t have any left. Water rights are ridiculous and government agencies already have too much power. The people should not need permission to have a rain barrel. We need to take the power back.

I find Wendy’s and BK are less consistent than McDonald’s. McDonald’s isn’t the best but I can stop at one anywhere in the US on a road trip and receive the same quality. The Wendy’s near me is fantastic, the BK is awful - but I have encountered the reverse while traveling.

As far as McDonald’s pricing, I think they’re trying to drive everyone to the app. The have good deals in the app and if you’re not using those deals I feel like you’re choosing to pay 20% to 100% more. The also are realizing people who refuse to install restaurant apps have dropped off their spending because of the inflated regular prices, so they’re finally putting a few “value” options back on their menus, starting just this month.

For me it’s my teenagers. We rarely clean their bathroom, they’re supposed to. They rarely clean it either.

I’ve never been able to work from home. But cool I guess?

That’s what I was saying too. Maybe somewhere with much lower wages and cost of living.

Let me be 100% clear. People who commute on bikes in my area are dead. Or they gave up because of a near death experience. I have lived here 18 years, I have seen one regular bike commuter. He caused major traffic backups, which was his safest option, at least they knew he was there. He lasted three weeks. I hope he’s not dead. You can not commute on a bike everywhere.
