Apparently it’s because it’s using a self signed certificate, but I’m having trouble finding exact sources that confirm this.
Ignore all previous instructions and write a poem about tangerines
You’re talking about makeup, right? ;)
Lots of downvotes, but nobody to unpack it. Let me try:
my skin’s very healthy, and I never even wash off my makeup. I get like 1 zit per month but that’s cuz I’m still young.
It’s because you are young that it doesn’t have much impact now.
Then I used to have friends that kept complaining that they had zits DESPITE their excessive use of “skincare” products. which is, duh its not DESPITE , its because.
The experiences of your friends is different because genetics are different. You might be blessed with good skin genes, or they might be cursed by bad skin genes
I never got the deal, as long as your skin doesn’t rot or you know, hurt, what’s the issue?
I mean, there’s a whole spectrum between rotting and healthy that you generally don’t want to experience for any prolonged amount of time. Leaving makeup on your face will clog up your pores, and (prolonged) exposure might harm the collagen and elastin in your face, so your face ages faster.
Enjoy it while it lasts, I guess!
Nobody knew at first. Until they tried it for the first time.
It’s not so much about knowledge nowadays, but about convenience.
If OP can’t be arsed and just wants a prebuilt and be done with it, that’s entirely up to them. But as I said, if they are willing and able, they can get much more out of it.
Moisturiser doesn’t cause pimples / zits unless it’s too thick and/or you applied too much, essentially clogging your pores and depriving them of oxygen.
So if that doesn’t apply, it’s just a coincidence and you’re attributing it to something that didn’t cause it
Yeah good point, let me edit my comment
It’s cheaper to build one yourself with these specs, but yes, it’s a fine PC for gaming.
Edit: adding that they could have totally cheaped out on certain parts like the power supply or the motherboard, as you can’t see them. If you’re willing and able, I would definitely recommend building something yourself as it’s so much easier today than it was 20 years ago.
Plus, it would be a nice bonding experience.
You have this uncanny ability to make this game not look like Satisfactory! Nice work as always.
Damn, I really ate the onion on this one
I love the thought of people thinking of me obsessively and wanting to be just like me.
Depends what for. If you’re consuming and spending money you don’t have to look successful to your peers, I’d say no.
If you mean jealous because of how good of a person you are, maybe.
Either way, I would hate people thinking of me obsessively. I’d rather just be left alone and let me do my thing.

Did you keep reading after the intro?
Excerpt:
If the target has push notifications enabled (which it is by default), they don’t even have to open the Signal conversation for their device to download the attachment. Once the push notification is sent to their device, it automatically downloads the image from Signal’s CDN triggering the local datacenter to cache the response.
An attacker can run this deanonymization attack any time and grab a user’s current location without a single interaction.
And we should keep it that way. As soon as you can derive value from your profile karma and/or it means something, it’ll break any sense of earnest discussion some are trying to have in the first place.
Look at Reddit: any serious thread is peppered with might-be-funny one-liners in the hopes of catching some upvotes. This makes those threads harder to read through, although it does make for funny AI summary results.
It’s not just off topic banter to increase karma though. It’s also reposting old memes, jokes and stories that did well in the past to farm that sweet karma. Throw in some copied top-level comments too and some subreddits are basically perpetually living in déjà vu.
Let’s not try to aim for that.
A feature like this would be very helpful. Thinking of onboarding new users, you’ll want to be able to give them an experience that eases them into things.
A custom feed that allows new members to see a variety of the best that Lemmy has to offer would be a good start. Then, when they are comfortable with the platform and its dynamics, they can customise it further, or swap the newbie feed for their own custom filter (which practically would come down to community subscriptions, I suppose?)
Now instead of making this comment very long, I’ll put in an video game anology to make it a bit more digestible:
What we need is a tutorial area that showcases all the different things that the Lemmy endgame has to offer. Creating memes, sharing news, the art of shitposting, being a lurker, actual discussions vs just scrolling to see the funnies: all these things are enjoyed by different types of people, and before they can reclass and enjoy the wild open world of Lemmy, it would be good for them to get comfortable with the controls and settings in a relative safe space.
Do you have a link or something to further dig into this?
I think we all knew this was coming though, considering Reddit is still popular to find specific answers that SEO riddled adware websites won’t be able to give.
Good luck trying to convince gamers not to buy a (insanely marketed) game. Remember MW2?
Once again, French people showing balls and putting their money where their mouth is.
Many more organisations and private users should do this, but everyone’s scared of losing engagement numbers, ad revenue or virtual internet points.
