  • Still not sure what Pierre thinks makes him qualified to be PM except “Not Trudeau”. Really Canada, given the world climate - is that enough?

Personally I’m hoping that when Trudeau is out and presumably Carney is in, the NDP pullls the rug completely out from under the cons and says they’ll support the new liberal leadership.

You’ll hear the cons bawling about it not being fair from coast to coast and that’s enough to be worthwhile right there.

Jagmeet’s office isn’t too far, wonder if it’s possible for average Joe Canadian me to get a few min of his time.

Met him once and he was very personable.

  • Exactly! I own a full resolve license I picked up a few years ago as part of a charity auction. I do most of my stuff on Avid for work because that’s what is used but I’d be just as happy on DaVinci.

I didn’t know that Affinity was also Australian but that’s all kinds of awesome because gimp just doesn’t cut it and Affinity is pretty cool and no subscription garbage so they’re going to see more of my business in the future. I might pick up their suite just to support them even though I get all of the adobe garbage due to work.

Looking on the bright side of this as well for an opportunity for change.

  • Would really just like the government to end birthright citizenship in Canada. If parents aren’t Canadian through birth or gaining citizenship then any kids born here don’t get it either.

I’d say that if the parents get citizenship within 5 years of the child’s birth and can pass a comprehensive (spoken) language test in English or French at grade 7 level, then their kids can get citizenship as well.
