I agree it’s an amazing film everyone should watch but not perfection. It’s got that awful trope of a girl who is basically just born and she is sexualised.

There are so many classic films to show your kid… How to choose? I would need to have some sort of flow to it, like action then drama then comedy… Keep the energy right.

Recommendations The Blues Brothers… comedy and music and serious talent, plus EPIC car chase 2001 A Space Odyssey… obviously Withnail & I… dark comedy that is mostly funny later The Terminator and Terminator 2… I do think it’s worth seeing the first one first Alien and Aliens… Great story, amazing set design, great characters and iconic alien When Harry Met Sally… THE rom com Jaws… So good, really well made, great reference characters like how the mayor keeps the beach open

Our kids always knew it was pretend so we all pretend together and everyone has fun. They never say anything to the believers or even the adults because that would ruin the fun. We do cookies and everything.
