If the service is poor, I still leave a tip. A nickel ($0.05) is usually enough to let them know that you did not forget to tip, and that you felt $0.05 was all their poor service was worth.

I associate the pause symbol (two vertical lines) with “press here to pause.” I associate the playing symbol (sideways triangle) as “press here to play.”

PSA: Hardened browsers (desktop or mobile) are still an option. I know it isn’t <YourFavoriteAppHere> but it would be difficult to convince me that the official app is better than even that.
