I mostly wanted to warn potential upvoters as to what they’re really upvoting.
Plan B was to get an obviously power tripping ban that I can post here. Somehow, I figured this would be the case.
the instance’s modlog shows the troll was banned from their instance
I don’t think it does? They were banned from a couple of communities, but that’s it: https://lemmy.sdf.org/modlog?page=1&actionType=All&userId=15728004
It’s just a matter of time, though.
It’s “I didn’t taste it, let alone finish it.” not “I didn’t finish it, let alone taste it.”. Not those exact words, of course. People get it wrong more often than not IME. The wrong version never makes sense, and it always trips me up.
Still salty about “gotten”. Apparently, the english classes I had to attend were pröper bri’ish®, and the existence of such a word is a laughable idea indeed!
The piece of stick. Though I couldn’t so positively identify it, hence the momentary confusion!
Hehe 49.9K subs.
For a second, I thought that was a shell casing next to the frog. Which, admittedly, would have made for a more intriguing narrative.

The only cookie clicking I do is when I get an x777 and x666 combined. That’s recipe for ascension.
As others have said, it’s some type of scale insect. A telltale sign is that they are mostly arranged on the middle line of the leaves, where, I imagine, it’s easiest to hook into the plant’s nutrients.
First thing to do is get it as far away as possible from any other plants you hold dear. Until it’s sorted out, avoid cross contamination via your hands and tools as well. After that, you’ll have to find some type of poison to kill them. Scales can be very resistant to external methods, something that is delivered via the plant’s juices that they feed on might be easiest. Or you could spend weeks diligently rubbing the leaves and stems with alcohol to rid of them, to possibly no avail.
(I am not very fond of scales.)
something something yt-dlp
Nobody said the word-lottery wasn’t making up bullshit alongside possibly admitting to scraping content from Lemmy. OP probably had to load the question with a lot of data to squeeze out this answer.
FOSS is fine, just as long as it’s 250% faster, more feature rich, more stable, and more user-friendly than the proprietary alternatives.
Hello stranger. I would just like to thank you for using the phrase “let alone” correctly. As far as I can remember, this is my first such sighting on Lemmy. Thank you.
I’m a sucker for AWPer Hand and I refuse to consider any other rifles. (Bows are not rifles.)
You’re going to be really happy when you find out it’s a whole gif!
Aren’t you basically just describing FOSS and framing it as a complaint? Valve for example has a vested interest in improving their software stack, and they do just that by donating both money and engineers to various projects. If these open source projects did not exist, they would have to spend the same or even more money on a proprietary licensed alternative, or to develop their own solution.
