  • Fearmongerers have put a stigma against it. You’re one of those “sheeple” that gets “vaccinated”. What’s horrible is a lot of fearmongerers themselves mask up privately and get vaccinated.

Sad that we can’t pull together. It makes me think that we’d never be able to outlaw things like smoking indoors again. These guys would politicize it and say it’s against their freedoms.

Unlike the author though, I’ve never really been made fun of for wearing a mask. I live in the GTA and you see quite a few. In Alberta I guess it could be different or people are just saying things behind my back.

I dunno man, whistleblowers aren’t getting good treatment from what I see. Two got “suicided” last year from Boeing and OpenAI. The two Theranos whistleblowers were treated really poorly. I felt so bad for them. They’re doing talks on ethics and stuff and I only wish them the best. They stood their ground on what they believed in.

  • I’m a dual citizen from the UK/Canada.

I feel the same way after Brexit. I felt a huge sense of dread and my coworker said to me, “we work in a high paying position and we’re men, we’re mostly going to be okay. The people that voted for Brexit have just f*cked themselves and there’s nothing we can do about it.”

I do feel a lot of animosity to any Trump supporter and I feel that’s warranted. I don’t care to elaborate further. I’m thinking of dropping social media for the next six months because there’s a lot of shit going on that I have no control over and I can’t change.

I also like the absurd amount of permissions it requires. Meta couldn’t let their guard down for a moment.

To clarify, I mean Meta couldn’t be a little less data hungry in order to take marketshare from Twitter. They instantly needed access to absolutely everything at the start.
