Thanks for the link! I couldn’t get ibus-uniemoji
to work properly, so I’ll probably have to settle for this.

This is definitely a good contender. I do already use 2 different keyboard layouts regularly, so I think it might get annoying when I’m trying to switch between those two. I’ll give it a go though, thank you!
hmm, might be worth my while to put my most used emojis into that config file… thanks for the input!
Awesome!
and your english is perfect, dude. no worries. the only suggestion I have for you in that regard is to watch out for run on sentences :)
I suppose you mean Hetzner, but yeah, that makes sense. Thanks
I’m on desktop (using old.lemmy.world), live in germany, and images still only take a maximum of half a second to load. That’s perfectly usable to me.
Do we know where the servers are?
as far as I understand it’s more like a VM. But yeah it’s quite literally the opposite of what OP suggested.
Please actually do. Somehow I feel like it would be a delight to read. I guess I just like dry humor
I am aware of the charlie hebdo shooting and why they claimed they did it. But I don’t see how the above statement relates to it, besides the loose connection of “islamists”. Are they saying there are enough violent islamists that one should fear repercussions? Or are they dismissing the islamists’ views by labeling them as paternal conservatives? It’s really just a statement about islamists, and not about the freedom of satire.
I don’t see how this is an opinion about satire or religious satire.
I don’t really have time to watch the video rn, so I’m not sure whether my reply really hits the mark, but what about window managers? you know, like sway and stuff.
I’ve been meaning to get my hands on a QMK board, but didn’t get around to it yet. Having an extra layer with macros or something sounds super powerful. I wonder whether I’m able to replicate a similar behavior without touching the board’s firmware. But I guess with enough registered keybinds it should work lol
Haha fair enough
I don’t think you have any need to simplify, but some more punctuation would definitely help with the readability of your comment
I don’t really need the compose key, but rebinding caps does sound tempting. But what to bind it to… Hmm
Krunner, wobbly windows and KDE connect are features of KDE Plasma, not Debian. You can install KDE plasma on arch and use all of the things you listed. Arch also has good app support through the AUR. Plus the wiki is called the Linux bible for a reason
GNOME and KDE are different desktop environments. Basically they are the software that provides you a graphical user interface. Gnome is more simple, but KDE is more customizable and windows-like. There are more options to choose from than these 2
The comment reads a lot like zorin has worked fine with updates for 10 years.
