The real American Dream
Cars didn’t “solve a real problem” at first either.
Combat is fun, but not anything special. I feel like the quests aren’t fun enough to bother dealing with all of the non-fun parts of the game, e.g. travel.
I’m not usually into base/ship building, but I’m glad it is there for those that are into it. I can’t imagine how poorly the game would have been received without it though. Skill tree is bullshit. Can’t modify weapons or armor because I’m not high enough level, even after 40 hours. I can’t modify a damn scope? WTH?
My wife and I were massive fans of D3, so buying D4 was a no-brainer. We liked the campaign, and we (begrudgingly) completed the first season. We didn’t finish the second season, and only played about 2 hours of the third season. Unless they do something drastic in future seasons I don’t see this becoming the hit for us that D3 was. They have time to make it better, but it will probably be shelved for a couple years for us.
Starfield. I love some Bethesda games, and I don’t hate the game, it’s just not worth the price. It would be way more tolerable at $40. I got about 40-45 hours into it, and I don’t know if I’m ever going to complete it. I feel like I’ve seen everything the game offers and there doesn’t seem to be anything new coming along in terms of mechanics or story.
The Internet was a mistake
Weird Al should be all over this.
I think you have to confirm “am I free to go?”, but IANAL.
Well this is some bullshit. I’m out.
While this sounds scary, I don’t know what I am supposed to do to address the issue. I can’t force myself to sleep an extra 3-4 hours a night. I just wake up and can’t fall back asleep.
Yeah, I believe my wife read an article relating to this. I’m squarely in the short-sleeper side of things.
Some people don’t require the same amount of sleep to function. I sometimes go weeks only sleeping 4-6 hours a night without being too drained, while my wife is exhausted if she gets less than 8 hours of sleep for a single night. Also, some people need a similar sleep schedule nightly while others can be sleep deprived on the weekdays and make up for the deficit on the weekends.
I was using Mint for a while but the system got hosed. I plan on modding Starfield, and there was another game I can’t recall that wouldn’t work on Linux. After I best Starfield I fully expect to wipe my system again and go with a more stable distro of Linux (e.g. Gentoo or something).
To add to that, Android is likely the overwhelming market share of Linux-based operating systems in use today. For that matter, an absolute ton of Intel CPUs have Minux installed on them too, but I wouldn’t call this “on the desktop”, just interesting.
Honestly, between the telemetry data collection, the strange hardware requirements, advertisements, bloatware, and unknown future licensing model, Linux is looking like an attractive option. At this point, I only use Windows for Office and gaming, and Linux + Proton has gotten really good lately. I don’t see a reason to use Windows on my personal machine any more.
Got it. I thought you meant 12-14 openings each, and I was arguing semantics to myself about what could possibly be considered “openings” to make the number that big.
