I want to say “good job, she will be happy you did” but in my heart I’m thinking “naps together are just the best - go be a bed warmer” but that is just me.

Im still not quite old enough to need the little cans of Ensure. Yes, adult beverages indeed.
About 10 years ago I got tired of searching through the stacks of disks and jockeying around plugging in actual physical media to make entertainment happen. I ripped everything to disk and started using PleX, found out about the *arr suite of helpers to get everything on earth and got a hdhomerun for broadcast media.
I am the master of all video media from the comfort of my couch - no disks or subscriptions required. Never going back!
I generally don’t lunch (or breakfast) - I’m old and don’t need much nutrition and my evening drinkies provide more calories than needed. If I lunch than dinner is a no-go. If I breakfast than perhaps a snack at night is in order. Don’t question your decision making paradigm - you got this - just go with it.
Yes, this is the way - graphite powder is the stuff for locks. I once had a handyman blow WD40 in there and I promptly fired him.
You know, those Amazon Basics batteries are a poor replacement for Duracells. Batteries are one of the things that I never cheap out on.
I generally don’t bother with or care for pasta so I’m OK with that.
I found about 8K for my mom a few years ago doing that.
Mushrooms - I once puked them up on the table when my mom made me eat them…canned mushrooms FTW! I now, of course, can not get enough of them - sautéed, baked, sliced/raw on a salad…gimme some fungus already!!
I thought so. You have to prime the pump first though. Wake up later the first time or two and say “babe, you don’t need to clean the shower glass when I’m just going to get in mess it up - let me do it after after mine”.
For a number of years when I was younger I would go find a sub-$1000 vehicle that was current on registration and just drive it into the ground then go get another one. With nothing but oil, gas, tires and occasional DIY repairs I could generally get a couple years out of them. What I saved on car payments went into a fund for the next one. Then I grew up.
My system is a little different- I always ensure that I get up before my wife so she does it…no sense doing it right before someone showers, right?
It’s so nice when you can stop jiggling the bean hopper to keep the grinder grinding. I have to do mine about once every 2 years.
You have shamed me into installing all new detectors. I know that the internals fade and stop working right after about 10 years…I’m 20+ years in my house. This weekend is smoke detector changeout week - thanks for nothing, friend - now my Saturday is shot ;)
They have an API available so I could siphon off my data if I wanted to but then I would need to build something like it to use said data in. I’m good.
It isn’t federated but I use Trakt to manage watch lists and scrobble my viewing history from Plex. There are some discovery features and a minor social aspect.
I join exactly at start time, down to the second. Once everyone has been counted or noticed and the droning idiot starts presenting I bug right TF out. Nothing will happen that matters because its a freakin’ meeting - if something important was going on it would be an email.
After doing the same yesterday I had a little rebellion this morning - turned off the alarm and slept an extra 30 minutes. Still going to work on time, just had to skip the coffee ritual and had a Dr. Pepper instead.
Yeah, I stopped going to the barber about 3 months into covid lockdown. I’m “essential” so never got to partake of the lock-in but still had to look like a member of society. I ordered a trimmer and learned how to cut my hair. I’ll never go back - it always looks good when I do it but since I’m lazy it gets a bit frowzy between cuts.
I went by the liquor store today to get a bottle of Crown Royal - as an American II was concerned about the coming tariffs but apparently they have been put on hold…I will need another bottle before we’re out of this :)
