Get a field guide to native mushrooms in your area, they tend to be very helpful for a start. In all honesty though the way I learned best was through practice. Whenever I’m out in about I’ll try and identify the mushrooms I see and after a while you start recognizing them on sight. Any service that offers mushroom identification through picture is bound to fail you eventually and usually quite often, some of the core ways of identifying mushrooms involve taking spore prints, checking for bruising when handled, and gill attachment; none of which are easily in just one or two pictures. It’s better to have a book imo.

I see why you might think that but dead man’s fingers aren’t usually this large and tend to have a different color among other differences I’m sure. This is most likely a stinkhorn and is identifiable in my experience by the texture of their stalk, the smell of rot/death, and a usually black or brown goop on the cap.

Stinkhorn of some kind for sure. You can tell by the texture of the stalk as well as the stench of rot. Their spores are spread by flies that land on their goop

I personal use graphhopper and it’s great but I’m sure my location is still tracked, maybe just not by Google now. You do what you can but there is no way to not have yourself tracked some way or another.
