I can’t speak for OP but I won’t blame the victim of a controlling partner for not acquiescing to their demands. Smoking isn’t illegal, smoking around people is legal, and he should be able to do with his body as a he pleases and his girlfriend should be adult enough to respect that

why should it matter what he does to his own body. I don’t know why so many people in this comments section are condoning this controlling and borderline abusive behavior. Regular ultimatums are not part of healthy relationships.
