Leucocorpinus Birnbaumii, also called “the flowerpot mushroom” because it shows up in flowerpots so often.
The “unraveled” one likely didn’t have enough light and grew into a long string trying to find the sun. This is similar to the principal used when cultivating Enoki mushrooms to make them grow into thin white pins instead of the way Flammulina Velutipes typically looks in the wild.
This is somewhat mycophobic, you could do the same bit with rowanberries and baneberries or lobsters and scorpions. Oleander branches are the perfect shape for roasting sticks but they can kill you if you eat food off of them or burn them in a campfire.
Nature is always dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing.
