If you make a good phone, I buy your next one. But if you sell me a phone subsidized by Amazon such that my every moved is recorded and inspected for possible purchases or alarms for authorities, I’m gonna hard pass on your next one. Oh, no next phone? No problem. The cassette died, the CD, DVD, blue ray, all died. Sony used to sell Walkmans and portable radios. Not anymore. Kodak used to sell chemicals, lenses, cameras, optics, etc, not anymore and there are no more manual cameras made in mass production at cheap prices. Similarly, Google will find its end. Now, I don’t search by googling. That gives me shit results. I mix chat GPT and general search regardless of engine. I’m keenly aware of being monitored for purchase. I ignore email ads and YouTube ads. I use YouTube without logging in. In short I am less traceable or predictable. Thus I am less valuable. Also I will not buy IOS or Android phones for the same reason. So if I don’t buy another device, I’m automatically not a customer for any online-only retailer. Think of your idiot friend or old family member who doesn’t give a fuck about a phone… We all used to be like that. We have a phone only to be costumers… A source of revenue for large companies. Once we stop using our phones, then there’s nothing to be had from us.

They made Mexico city what it is. The beetle is legendary. And the program “hoy no circular” or “today you can’t commute” was invented became too many people owned too many god dammed cars. So in the program they would allow you to use your car only in certain days. Additionally they modernized their metro system making it accessible for incredibly cheap. Not long ago for a few cents you could travel around the city a few stops. By comparison the trolley in sandiego is out dated as outdated can be and it only goes up and down the coast with only one rail heading east. Mexico city made a spider grid off they’re system. Like from any peripheral location you can travel to the center or travel in the periphery towards another center bound rail. Its great. You can go anywhere without a god dammed car.

In December I had $300 bucks on a gift card that I wanted to spend on my photography hobbies. Now I’ve just loaded the monies into the bank account and my hobby is looking at the wall. Looking at my phone is enough photography I guess.

But I remember how it was to be homeless when I had just migrated here. How can I be here looking towards a future that includes that as a real possibility? I’m just here awaiting the new part pricing I’m gonna face. It sucks.

Machined components!

You stupid sonobabich! You know a machined part costs less in Canada than here. But that’s not going to make parts here cost less! Its going to make my business fail instead!

It’s going to be a little painful not having a job and living in the streets with my wife and kids freezing to death. It’s fucking snowing outside.

I can design and sell a few things here and there but a few means machining is expensive. In the US you must buy a Shit ton of parts to make the price per part work, but if you fuck up on an order, that’s a huge deal. From Canada I can order a few parts, change something, order again. The scrap cost goes into the price to the costumer. In not gonna get fired if I screwup one order! (Famous last words). I don’t get paid less either. But if one screw up costs now as much as ten, then the price of the part becomes impossible to sell…think $15 for two small bottles of water at the AMC theater…theaters are done. I paid because I was thirsty, but fuck if I’m ever going back to watch a movie. At least I’m boot legging my own water.
