Drag rides dragons and also “rides” dragons. drag/dragself person-independent pronouns. That means drag’s pronouns are the same in first, second, and third person.

  • Drag does express drag’s trauma in this performative way. The transphobia trauma, not the child abuse trauma. Drag isn’t a kid anymore, what’s done is done. But drag is still trans and still feels the need to remind everyone that Nazis are bad. That’s why drag empathises with someone who has the same response to the other trauma.

    If you don’t have a fight response, that’s a you thing, not a universal fact of reactions to trauma. Drag knows what a fight response is like.
